About Ximera

Meet Ximera! If you're looking for a sweet, gentle girl with a heart of gold, Ximera may be your girl! This beautiful pup has been nothing but sweet and loving so far. Every time I walk her, she's happy, smiley, and clearly thrilled to spend time with her people. Ximera has a *mild energy level* and seems calmer than many of the heelers I've met. She does have a playful side-during her dog testing, she seemed interested in playing and being around another dog. Her first playmate was a little too much for her, and she became overwhelmed, but she tolerated him well. She seems genuinely interested in canine companionship and may enjoy having a dog friend who matches her energy and play style. She does like to jump up to say hello, but overall, she has been a wonderfully sweet and manageable girl. She's still getting to know the world and would benefit from a patient family who can continue helping her learn and feel comfortable. We're not sure how Ximera feels about cats just yet. She did have a pretty intense stare-down with a feral cat, and her interest appeared more prey-driven, so a cat-free home may be the safest fit unless proper introductions and management are possible. Ximera also has some kennel-related potty struggles, so her adopter should be prepared to continue working on her house-training routine. Most importantly, Ximera is *VERY, VERY SWEET*. She has such a happy face and a gentle spirit, and she deserves someone who will give her the chance to blossom into the wonderful companion she can be.
