LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Within a one hour drive to Pensacola, FL Meet MARLEY! This sweet puppy came to us when she was only a couple of days old. Her mom, Magnolia, who we believe is a Dachshund mix, was a stray who had given birth underneath a shed. A kind lady brought her to us so she could have a better life. She was born on June 21st and will be able to go home on August 25th. MARLEY is a sweet little girl with a beautiful medium-length coat. She's an absolute love bug, but don't let that sweetness fool you-she has tons of puppy energy! MARLEY is a typical puppy...busy, playful, curious, mischievous, and constantly on the move. She plays HARD and then piles into her dog bed to cuddle and sleep. She figured out very early how to climb out of the puppy pen, so she's enjoyed having the run of the living room. She's a confident little explorer who wants to be involved in everything. Because she loves playing so much, we believe she would be happiest in a home with a young, playful dog who wants a little buddy. Future families need to understand something very important: She is a BABY. She is underfoot. She chews things she shouldn't. She gets into things. And she is nowhere near housebroken yet. Anyone adopting this baby needs to be prepared for all the trials, tribulations, laughter, frustration, training, and absolute joy that come with raising a puppy. By the time she can go home, MARLEY will have had two of her three puppy shots, and will be microchipped with a lifetime registration. The third puppy shot will be given approximately 3 weeks after her go home date and is covered by the rescue. PLEASE NOTE: MARLEY is NO PAWS ON THE GROUND until approximately 12 weeks of age, after she has received her final Parvo vaccination. Until then, her new family will need to be especially careful about where she is taken and avoid taking her outside. We highly recommend investing in a puppy pen to keep her safe inside when she cannot be supervised. Her spay will be scheduled at one of our vets when she is old enough and is also covered by the rescue. Because she has pending vet appointments, MARLEY is local adoption only which is within a one hour drive to Pensacola. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
