About Copper

Copper is looking for a loving forever home. This is not a decision I'm making lightly. I have had Copper since he was 2 months old, and he has been an important part of my life. His name must remain Copper and cannot be changed. I am rehoming him because my physical limitations make it difficult for me to safely manage a very energetic and strong dog. Copper is extremely energetic and has knocked me down a few times while playing or becoming excited. I am concerned that I could eventually be seriously injured trying to manage him. Copper's rehoming is not because I don't love or care about him. I want to find him a home where he can receive the time, attention, exercise, training, structure, and stimulation he needs. He would do best with someone who is physically able to safely handle his energy level and provide him with plenty of appropriate exercise and mental stimulation. What I'm Looking For: - A loving, responsible forever home - Someone physically able to safely handle an energetic dog - Copper must be kept indoors as a family dog - He will not be used for hunting - Plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and mental stimulation - Proper food, veterinary care, vaccines, and preventatives - Patience, kindness, training, and structure - He must never be neglected, abused, abandoned, or left in unsafe conditions - Someone who understands that taking Copper is a lifelong commitment Because I have had Copper for almost a year, I care deeply about where he ends up. I want to make sure he goes to someone who genuinely wants him and is prepared to provide everything he needs. I am not rehoming Copper because I don't love him. I am rehoming him because I believe finding him the right home is the responsible thing to do for both of us. �%9D%A4��%8F I will be selective about his new home and would like to stay updated on how Copper is doing after he is rehomed.
