Kimber | Looking for Her Forever Home ��%90%BE Kimber or Kimbahbah is a 4-year-old spayed Pit Mastiff mix, and if you give her a chance to show you who she really is, you'll find one hell of a lovable, goofy, loyal girl underneath that big tough exterior. �%9D%A4��%8F Kimber is extremely smart and has a huge personality to match. She learns quickly, pays close attention to her people, and is the kind of dog who seems to understand more than you give her credit for. She loves her people HARD and absolutely has no concept of personal space when it comes to someone she loves. She wants attention, affection, and to be involved in whatever her person is doing. She is funny, loving, playful, and has that goofy personality that makes you laugh even when she's being ridiculous. Unfortunately, Kimber struggles with other dogs. Her aggression toward them is fear-based. When she feels threatened, overwhelmed, or unsure around another dog, she can react defensively. Because of this, she needs to be the only dog in the home and would do best with someone who understands fear-based reactivity and is willing to give her the patience, structure, consistency, and confidence-building she needs. With her people, Kimber is incredibly loving and loyal. Once she trusts you, she is all about her person. She has so much personality and so much love to give, and I truly believe there is someone out there who would absolutely adore this big goofy girl. Rehoming her is an incredibly difficult decision because she is very much loved. This isn't about Kimber being a bad dog or not being wanted. It's about recognizing that she needs a different environment and a person who can give her the kind of life and one-on-one attention that will allow her to thrive. I don't want to sugarcoat her challenges, because Kimber deserves a home that understands exactly what they're taking on. But I also don't want her fear around other dogs to become the only thing people see when they hear her story. Kimber is not a bad dog. She's a scared dog who needs the right person. I'm hoping to find a rescue or experienced adopter who can see past the behavior, understand where it comes from, and give this sweet girl a chance to just be someone's dog.
