PLEASE HELP VADER VADER - GOOFY, LOVING & FUN Vader's story hasn't been easy, but you would never know it by the amount of personality packed into this boy. At only 2 months old, Vader was on the kill list at an Alabama shelter. A homeless man adopted him and saved his life. Vader spent the next several months believing he had found his person. Then, at just 7 months old, that same man brought Vader to animal control and asked them to euthanize him. Thankfully, a very good rescue friend happened to be there. She called me, told me what was happening, and my answer was simple: 'Bring him here.' When Vader arrived, he was completely hairless. His legs were bitten up, irritated and inflamed. With regular baths, preventatives, good food and proper care, his skin has improved tremendously and his beautiful coat is coming back in nicely. And now that he's feeling better, let me tell you about the REAL Vader. This boy LOVES TOYS. And apparently, anything on the floor can qualify as a toy. He's also a mouthy boy. He's goofy, mischievous and full of personality. Because of his past and his relationship with food, we've also been working with him on resource guarding and maintaining consistent, stable meals. He still eats like every meal might be his last. He's making progress, but his future family needs to understand this and continue working with him. Now for everything this boy has going for him: Great with dogs of all sizes Good with cats Good with kids Completely house trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash LOVES car rides Fully vaccinated, including rabies Microchipped Take him out in public and he's a perfect gentleman. He's a very active boy who would love a family that will include him in their adventures. Vader also knows how to turn it off. When it's time to relax, he's perfectly happy being your chill dude, hanging out with his people. Vader isn't perfect-and we're not going to pretend that he is. He has a past. He has some things we're still working on. But he is sweet, loving, hilarious, trainable and incredibly deserving. This boy has already had someone save his life once and then decide he wasn't worth keeping. We're looking for the person who saves him one last time-and means FOREVER.
