Looking for the Right Home for My Anatolian Shepherd I'm looking to responsibly rehome my 1%BD%BD-year-old, AKC-registered, intact male Anatolian Shepherd with Kangal bloodline. He is a kind, respectful, loving boy who deserves a home where he can continue to thrive. He is an outdoor dog on 2.5 acres who genuinely loves being outside. He is affectionate with the people he knows and has been a wonderful companion. I want to be completely transparent with anyone who may be interested: he does have some resource-guarding behaviors that we have been actively working on. He has never harmed a person or another dog, but this is something his new family will need to understand and be willing to continue working with. He has not been exposed to small or young children or small animals, so I am looking for a home where that would not be an immediate concern. Ideally, someone experienced with Anatolians, livestock guardian breeds or large guardian dogs would be a wonderful fit. Unfortunately, I am relocating and can only take one dog with me. I have exhausted the options available to me and as heartbreaking as this decision is, I believe finding him the right home is the most responsible thing I can do for him. I am not looking to simply give him away. I want to find someone who understands the breed, respects his nature and will love him for the incredible dog he is. If you are genuinely interested or know someone who may be the right fit, please message me. I'm happy to answer questions and have an honest conversation about him. Please share this post. The right person may be one connection away.
