About Graham

Location: Lancaster, OH Meet Graham Mr. Graham is back. And BOY has this kid grown like a weed. He's no longer that little ball of fluffy puppy we remember-he's officially a whole dude now. Unfortunately, Graham was adopted a while back and was attacked by neighborhood dogs. Since then, he's understandably had some feelings about, well... pretty much everything. So Graham came back to us for a reset. He headed to Camp Fisher, where he has be staying for a while as we work on helping him feel safe, learn some manners, and hopefully discover that not every dog in the world is out to get him. Basic manners are currently more of a theoretical concept to Graham. We've introduced an e-collar as a training tool, and he's responding really well to it, which gives us some hope! What he really needs is structure, consistency, patience, and someone willing to help him figure out how to be a dog again. He's currently afraid of approximately EVERYTHING. The ceiling fan and robot vacuum have officially been declared Public Enemy #1 and #2. Thankfully, he has plenty of good things going for him: HIGHLY food motivated LOVES fetch Loves belly rubs Absolutely LOVES his people - seriously, if he could crawl inside my skin, he probably would 100% house trained An absolutely TERRIBLE beggar... but those ears and little teefs might earn him a few sympathy snacks Graham is learning slowly that dogs are friends, and he has made TREMENDOUS strides to being friends with them again. He just needs slow introductions and someone who understands. Once he is decompressed, he plays nonstop with any dog friends he is introduced to, he just takes a minute to get comfortable. So for now, Graham is learning. We're learning. And every day were getting to know a little more about this goofy, scared, food-obsessed, fetch-loving, belly-rub-demanding dude.
