My vet asked me to take a Maine Coon that needed a home a few months ago. Harley is nine years old, spayed, shots up-to-date & recent dental work done. She's medium-sized...14.3 pounds. She doesn't get along with my other cat. Harley needs to be the only pet in the home. I've tried scent-swapping, pheromones, separate rooms, introductions through screens, supervised time together, nothing is working. I want to find a permanent home for Harley that will be her last stop. She was left at my vets when her family moved away. She sits in my lap & purrs; adores my daughter & granddaughter. I brush her every day; nail trims are easy. She's very social, a big talker, loves quiet time & can communicate her wants and needs. She gets over-stimulated when brushed & she nips, nothing serious, just telling me she's done, so I stop. Ideal placement is with an experienced cat owner & no other pets. I want to make sure she goes to a home that will understand her needs & keep her. I'm in no hurry. Also, I want potential adopters to be local so they can visit with her prior to making a commitment. The adoption fee will go to a local no-kill shelter (Pedro Pet Pals). Thanks!
