'Rew' is a beautiful white 3-month-old mini-rex mix bunny with ruby red eyes. He is sweet and friendly and energetic. He likes to be pet and can be held and sits very well for nail trimming (using a very quiet small-animal rechargeable electric nail grinder). He enjoys all day with his brothers in an ex-pen to do zoomies and binkies and vertical hops, intermixed with loafs and sploots and periscoping and chinning. Of course there is lots of bunstruction to do, so he is provided things to scratch and chew on (besides hay) and things to play with. He has access to a litter box at all times. He currently eats Sherwood rabbit pellets and free-choice organic alfalfa hay (this will switch to timothy hay), and drinks water from a bowl. He is offered various greens (dandelion, clover, broadleaf and narrow leaf plantain, etc) and alfalfa hay cubes and dandelion or clover blossom treats. Rew is looking for a caring furever home where he will continue to get love, attention, proper care and enrichment. He is required to be neutered and live as a house rabbit (photo is during a brief supervised outdoor excursion). Background: Rew and his siblings are the result of a pair of domestic rabbits that someone sadly discretely dumped on our farm. Before we could get a rescue society to respond to our desperate inquiries for help, papa rabbit went MIA and then mama rabbit disappeared (predator) leaving a litter of 7 kits at only two weeks old. They would not survive, so we (my husband and I) took them in and hand raised them, starting with formula. We did not breed these bunnies, we did not ask for them - someone forced it all on us. We couldn't let the babies die and had to step up and get them to this point in their lives. We have invested a great deal of time, heart, and expenses on these little ones. It's been overwhelming with so many bunnies to care for in addition to our own pets. We adore them, but it is high time for them to find loving permanent homes! Questions will be asked to ensure their wellbeing.
