Meet Bruce, who comes to us from a local shelter. Bruce is a 2-year-old, 67 lb., Sheepadoodle. He came to us severely matted so we had to shave him down, but when his curls grow back, he will be absolutely stunning. Bruce was adopted from us recently but was quickly returned in less than 24 hours. The person who adopted him was younger and it was their first dog. Although he's not shown any aggression in his current foster home (along with other dogs) he growled at his previous adopter when she attempted to reposition him in the bed. We always suggest when bringing home a new dog, they should be crated at night for a while to acclimate to their new environment before being allowed to sleep in the bed. Bruce needs an assertive adopter that will give him the adequate time to adjust to his new home. Because of this, we feel he would do best in a home with no small children or small dogs (he seems to show dominance with smaller dogs). He does fine with dogs his size. Bruce is sweet, playful, and loves receiving love and attention. He is housetrained, crate trained, neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Bruce, please reach out to us for an application.
