About Laika

Hi, I'm Laika! ��s'ۉ%9D%A4��%8F I was named after Laika, the famous space dog, and we actually have a little more in common than just our name. She started her story as a stray on the streets of Moscow before becoming the first dog to orbit Earth. Sadly, she never got the chance to come home. �ٴ� I was a stray too, but this Laika gets a different ending. I got my second chance, and now I'm just waiting for someone to give me the one thing every dog deserves. A home. �%9D%A4��%8F And when I find mine, I can promise you I'm not going ANYWHERE. ���� I'm pretty sure I'm the biggest lapdog you'll ever meet. I have absolutely no concept of personal space, and if I could crawl into your skin just to be a little closer to you, I probably would. Maybe I'll gain some spatial awareness as I get older, but no promises. ���� I'm a very gentle, loving, and loyal girl. If you're looking for a constant companion, I'm your girl. Wherever you are, that's where I want to be. �%9D%A4��%8F I'm playful and adventurous and always ready to have some fun, but I also know when it's time to settle down and relax. Once I've gotten my fun in, I'm perfectly happy just hanging out with my people. I really like other dogs, and I think I'd do great in a home with canine siblings and kids. I don't have an aggressive bone in my body, and I rarely bark. I'm just a happy girl who loves everyone. �ٴ� I'm fully potty trained and mostly kennel trained. I understand the whole kennel thing, but do I love it? Absolutely not. ���� I'll go in there when I need to, but I'd much rather be out with you. I LOVE treats, although I'm not always the best about finishing all of my actual food. Apparently, treats do not count as a balanced diet. �٪� There is one thing you should probably know about me though. Trash. ���ԕ�%8F If you leave it somewhere I can get to it, I'm going to investigate it. And by investigate, I mean I will absolutely get into it. So keep those trash cans closed unless you want me conducting a very thorough inspection. ���� Most of all, I'm just a genuinely happy girl. I wake up happy, I spend my day happy, and I go to bed happy. I love being with my people, going on adventures, playing, snuggling, and being included in whatever you're doing.
