About River

River is a 1-year-old, 45-pound Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his fluffy paws. This handsome blue merle boy is full of pure love, endless curiosity, playful energy, and just a little bit of sass. River will greet you with a full-body hug and the biggest smile every time you walk into the room. Honestly, if he could climb into your pocket and live there forever, he probably would. He is truly the funniest, sweetest big pile of cuddles. River is also discovering all the fun things life has to offer. He's learned how to sit and walk nicely on a leash, and he absolutely loves shaking a stuffy around and settling into his bed with a good bone. He's house-trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and great with other dogs and kids. As an Aussie, River is smart, curious, and energetic, so he'll thrive with an active family that understands and appreciates herding breeds and can give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, training, and, of course, cuddles.
