About Freya

Meet Freya �%9D%A4��%8F Freya is an 8-year-old Mastiff with a gentle, laid-back personality who is looking for a patient and loving home where she can finally feel safe and comfortable. Freya came to me after being rescued from a puppy mill, and because of her past, she can be fearful and selective about the people and animals she trusts. She does not do well with most men or other dogs, so she would likely do best in a quiet home where she can be the only pet and have time to build trust with her new family. Once she feels comfortable, Freya is an incredibly docile, affectionate, low-energy girl. She loves getting pets and attention and is happiest simply relaxing and spending time with her person. She does well with having the freedom to roam around the home and does not need to be crated. In fact, she is quite smart and determined-if you put her in a crate, she will figure out how to escape! Freya does have a yeasty skin condition that needs to be evaluated by a veterinarian. Her skin has become dark and thickened in areas, and she has experienced hair loss, particularly around her tail. She will need a veterinary evaluation to determine the underlying cause and the appropriate treatment to help her get comfortable and healthy again. Freya isn't going to be the right dog for every home, but for the right person, she could be an incredibly special companion. She needs someone who understands that her past has shaped her behavior and who is willing to give her patience, consistency, space, and unconditional love. She has spent enough of her life being treated as a breeding dog. Now she deserves to spend her golden years knowing what it feels like to be someone's beloved pet. �%9D%A4��%8F Freya is looking for a quiet, patient, dog-free home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be loved for the sweet gentle giant she is.
