About Murphy

Murphy is an incredibly sweet, calm, and well behaved Aussie. While he currently does not live with any other pets, he has previously lived successfully with both dogs and cats. Murphy currently lives with a toddler and is gentle and shows no concerning behaviors. We are looking for a new home for Murphy due to his current quality of life, as we live in an apartment and have two small children who require our constant and undivided attention. Prior to the arrival of his two human siblings, Murphy was a spoiled king who had unlimited attention, walks, and trips to the dog park from his adoring parents. However, while still very loved, Murphy no longer gets the attention or exercise he deserves, and is confined to a small apartment for the majority of every day. Murphy is a very chill dog and sleeps through most of the day, although he does enjoy playing with other dogs when he has the opportunity. Like many Aussies, Murphy has some anxiety around thunderstorms and fireworks (and, strangely, weed eaters). His anxiety is managed through the summer with medication. He does not have any issues throughout the rest of the year. If you have a basement where he can go to avoid the noises, medication may not even be necessary. Murphy is honestly such a loving, sweet dog, and he deserves the best home.
