Name: Ruby Age: 7 years Breed: Chihuahua, 14 pounds Sex: Female (spayed) Location: Maricopa County, Arizona Ruby is a very much loved girl. Unexpected housing changes mean that Ruby needs a new home quickly. Her owner is moving in September and will be unable to take her along. Vet Info: Ruby is microchipped. She is current with her vaccinations but owner is not sure about when her last HW test was given. Ruby is fully blind. Appears to be cataracts - no vet confirmation. Ruby has no medical issues. Dog Info: Ruby is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She is house broken and was leash trained but now turns into a statue once leashed. She is fully able to use a doggie door and does so whenever she wants to go outside. Ruby will be shy and quiet at first but will warm up in a few days. She is great with women and younger children. Owner is not sure how she is with any animals, men or teens but assumes that she would be fine with any of them since she is so laid back. Just give the 3/3/3 rule a chance and you will have a wonderful companion! Ruby is a Chihuahua from the tip of her nose down to her toes, give her food or a treat and she goes bonkers! She was partially blind when adopted but now is fully blind and has adapted well - has no issues mapping out her home. She would make a wonderful companion to a senior or a person that is not very active - she won't go on walks, she loves being a lap dog or even snuggling up in her bed. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
