Ellie is a very energetic, fun, and sweet mini Australian shepherd that my wife and I have had for about three years now. Unfortunately, she and our other dog do not get along and so we need to find her another loving, caring, and supportive home. Ideal new parents would have time to give her frequent walks and all the belly rubs she craves. She is a very loving dog who needs as much attention as she can be given (within reason), although she is good with being alone for stretches of time. It's been an extremely hard choice for us to adopt her out, and we want to be sure that she finds the best and safest home possible. We would strongly suggest she be kept in a single-pet household - although she is very affectionate, we cannot guarantee she would get along well with other pets. The biggest issues she and our other dog have had are resource-guarding around food, toys, and attention, along with sensitivity to grooming. When grooming, she can easily be distracted by a lick mat with peanut butter (her favorite). She is 4 years old, house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and micro chipped. She is a beautiful dog with lots of love to give, and deserves a good home. If you can provide that, please reach out to us!
