About Katie

Meet Katie, a sweet 7-year-old Shih Tzu who weighs 16 pounds. Katie came into Fur Fun Rescue as a local owner surrender after her owner, who had loved and cared for her since she was a puppy, was no longer able to care for her. Katie has been a cherished and well-cared-for companion her entire life, and she is now looking for a new family to share her next chapter with. Katie is an easygoing girl who enjoys the simple things in life. She loves her people, enjoys going for walks, and is happy to spend time with her family. She does well with other dogs and is accustomed to living with another dog. Katie is housetrained. At her foster home, she is never kenneled and is free to roam the house. She would do best with someone who is home much of the time, as she really enjoys having her people around and doesn't want to spend long stretches of time alone. Katie isn't looking for anything complicated. She would love a family who wants a sweet companion to share walks, couch time, and everyday life with. At 7 years old, she has left the puppy antics behind but still has plenty of personality and love to give.
