Meet Oakley, a 2-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix weighing 59 pounds with a resilient spirit and so much love to give. This sweet boy was rescued from BARCs euthanasia list in heartbreaking condition. His coat was severely matted, and a broken tail that served as a reminder of the difficult life he left behind. Today, Oakley is getting the fresh start he has always deserved. With his handsome looks, sweet personality, and gentle heart, he is learning that people can be kind and that life can be full of love. Oakley is looking for a family that will continue to help him thrive and make up for the years he went without the care he deserved. In return, he'll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and a lifetime of gratitude. If you're looking for a dog with a remarkable story and an even bigger heart, Oakley is your guy. Currently he is working on his leash and crate training, and he is making great progress every day. He is located in Houston, Texas, but can be transported to most states for an additional fee of $300.
