About Bennie

Bennie is 2 yrs old, neutered, and vaccinated. He is well-mannered, very sweet, loyal, and intelligent. He is very personable and a joy to be around; however, he does have a strong prey drive and requires a home without cats or small animals. He already knows basic commands and is highly trainable. Like any healthy, large dog, he requires daily exercise. Bennie loves walks and would benefit from ongoing training to help with leash manners. Here's 10 reasons to adopt Bennie: 1. Because he's been fostered (by me and others) a lot is known about his personality and behaviors. This means less surprises for you. Spoiler-- he's amazing. He's a staff and volunteer favorite at Dallas Animal Services, where he is currently housed. 2. He knows basic manners and commands: back, sit, stay, down. He usually comes when called as well (he knows his name). 3. He's crate trained. 4. He's potty trained. 5. He's made progress on leash manners. Still needs work on this. 6. He knows shake-- he's super funny, playful, and smart! 7. He rides in the car well. 8. He loves water and swimming ��%BD��%BD��%BD%8D 9. He's affectionate and a super cuddle bug. The sweetest guy--super loyal. 10. He's healthy now. He completed treatment for heartworms in April 2026, he's gained weight, and his coat is shiny (no longer excessively shedding).
