PLEASE HELP ME SAVE HER!!! Dayton, Ohio (willing to drive up to 45 minutes). 3 Y/O FEMALE GSD (DOB: 6/4/23). Her name is 'Nala'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Nala since she was weaned from a pet store. NOT UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids. Currently lives with children ages 6, 8, and 9. NOT Good with dogs. Nala is aggressive with other dogs and has attacked the other household dogs. She seems fine with dogs at times but then somehow is triggered to want to attack unprovoked without warning. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained: UNKNOWN. She is currently trained to free-roam the home. Any known medical issues?: No known medical issues disclosed. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: None disclosed. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: High. Weighs 70 lbs. Currently on Kirkland Salmon & Sweet Potato food. Good with car rides?: NO. She gets carsick and throws up. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes, but she is aggressive toward other dogs and has attacked household dogs. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Loves: Fetch, balls, new toys, playing with kids, attention, loving, stuffies, squeaky toys, bones, carrots, cucumbers, snacks, cheese, pleasing her person, learning, and running. Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. Good on a Leash?: Unknown. Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: No bite history disclosed toward people. However, Nala has attacked other household dogs without warning and unprovoked. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: ' Nala is a sweet loving dog that can be a great dog in the right setting. She listens, she knows a few tricks and loves to learn new stuff. She loves her toys and ball/playing fetch. She loves to sit by/next to us when she's ready to relax. She has a good balance of play/relax time.' The stress of the situation is severely affecting the mental health of her current Shepherd Parent. Nala will be a great companion for the right person who can provide the appropriate environment and keep her separated from other dogs.
