About Benny

Meet Benny Benny arrived in Wisconsin on August 15th with Mutt Life Dog Rescue after making his way up from a high-intake shelter in Georgia. He was originally found as a stray in rural Georgia and, unfortunately, arrived at the shelter covered in painful mats and completely filthy. After some much-needed TLC, a good bath, and plenty of care, Benny is feeling so much better and settling into his foster home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Benny is believed to be a Maltipoo mix and is an easygoing, happy little guy who is an absolute joy to have around. He is doing excellent in his foster home and has quickly shown everyone what a sweet and adaptable dog he is. Benny currently lives with kids, cats, dogs, and chickens and has done wonderfully with everyone. His favorite person right now is his foster family's 2-year-old, who he has completely bonded with. Benny is gentle, affectionate, and loves being around his people. He has the kind of personality that makes him seem like he has always been part of the family. Benny is potty trained, crate trained, although he doesn't really need to be crated, and walks well on a leash. He is an easygoing guy who doesn't ask for much other than being near his people and getting to enjoy the good life he is finally experiencing. When Benny first arrived, he had several small sores on his back from where the matting had been particularly severe. They are healing nicely now that he is clean, comfortable, and receiving the care he needed. His foster family is continuing to keep an eye on them as they heal. Benny would be a great fit for just about any home. He would do well with a family, couple, or single person looking for a sweet, low-key companion. After everything he has been through, Benny is ready to put his stray and shelter days behind him and enjoy the loving home he deserves.
