We are simply stunned that this good boy is EUTH Listed for 'unmanageable FAS' in his kennel due to reports that he hides in his cubby, growling and refusing to interact with staff. He is deadlined for 8AM MON 8/17. He needs an adopter, foster or rescue by end of day SUN 8/16. KAZUMA came to SLA in April after being abandoned outside of the shelter with his best bud Nanook (who was euthanized a few weeks after arriving). KAZUMA is a sweet, smart, well-mannered boy who has many fans. He's been bathed by the groomer and did well. He's been a wonderful assistant for dog walking class with new large dog handlers because he's so friendly and easy to handle. He does well in playgroups with other large pups where he's usually described as tolerant with a gentle and dainty play style. He is also a fantastic adventure buddy on dog outings from the shelter and an all-around great companion. Note: KAZUMA was also unfazed and calm seeing one of the neighborhood cats who hangs out at the shelter. Today, KAZUMA enjoyed a fabulous day out with a couple of volunteers and happily greeted just about everyone he met. As always, KAZUMA greeted his volunteer handler perfectly from inside his kennel this morning. He was easy to fit into a harness and dress up for videos. He hopped in and out of the car with ease, rode quietly and contently in the car, and happily walked about taking in all the sights and sounds of the Marina boardwalk. This friendly, easy-going, attentive, adult pupper should be living his best life with a loving owner - not dying in a crowded shelter. Adopt, foster, or rescue our handsome blue-eyed friend.
