Poor MAX can't understand why his family left him. MAX was surrendered to the cruel and deadly New York City kill pound by the family he loved so much. He can't understand what he did wrong or why they aren't coming back. Now, this sweet boy's life is at risk. MAX is a social, affectionate and playful 3-yr-old boy who loves being part of the family. He enjoys relaxing by his people's side and cuddling, playing with his toys, tug-of-war, car rides, and of course he loves treats! He has the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back couch potato moments. MAX is crate and housetrained, walks gently on leash, knows basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay,' and is described as a 'sweet, gentle big teddy bear.' More than anything, MAX just wants someone to love and a family to call his own again. We cannot let his story end in an ugly city kill pound. Please open your heart and home to MAX and be the hero he desperately needs and deserves. MAX is neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and aside from being a little overweight, is in excellent health. The 501(c)(3) rescue group that wants to save MAX's life will waive his adoption fee and provide free transportation to your home anywhere in the northeast, and back him up thereafter for life. Please step up to save sweet MAX!
