Chonk is basically an oversized baby with one goal in life: 'to make his people happy.' He is affectionate, outgoing, eager to please, and absolutely loves being included in whatever your're doing. Chonk already knows how to sit, listens well, easily redirected and especially when treats are involved-and he takes those treats like a perfect gentleman. He's crate trained, walks nicely on leash, hops right into the car, and is always ready to head out on his next adventure. And this boy knows how to behave in public! Chonk has excellent manners at outdoor restaurants, which means he could easily become your favorite brewery buddy, patio lunch date, or outdoor burger companion. He loves getting out and exploring, and trips to the creek are especially high on his list of favorite things. Chonk is incredibly people-friendly, social, and confident in public. He loves meeting new friends, although he seems to have an extra-special soft spot for the guys. Give him some attention and a few treats and youve probably made a best friend for life. Because hes still young, Chonk definitely has his playful bursts of puppy energy. Hes strong, silly, and sometimes forgets that hes a 70-pound dog and not a tiny lap puppy. For that reason, we think hed be happiest in a home with kids 12 and older.
