About Trotter *best boy

Trotter is a wonderful dog that was saved minutes before euthanasia at a rural NC shelter and needs help now! Trotter is 5 years old, Male Plott hound/Pointer mix, 51 lbs and is HW Negative. He will be neutered prior to adoption. Dog-Friendly: Yes - currently kenneled with other dogs. What a handsome boy! This sweet wiggle butt was found as a stray with a deep, full-thickness circular wound on his chest, possibly caused by a bite or projectile. He has been receiving pain medication and is nearly fully healed now. Despite whatever happened to him, this happy boy hasn't let it dim his spirit. He walks well on a leash, loves treats, adores being petted, and wiggles his whole body with excitement when given attention. It would be great to place him with another friendly dog.
