About Misty

Prepared to fall in love and get misty-eyed! This family-friendly lady loves people, both adults and children 13& up. Her affectionate nature ensures you'll have a good day, every day! Misty is a 5-year-old, 50-pound black lab who resides at the Cranston, RI Animal Shelter. In a home setting Misty is playful, funny, and loyal. Besides playing, being outdoors, and chilling out, she really enjoys being an integral family member. In a shelter setting, however, she is not so confident and gets easily startled. A kennel environment can be noisy and scary, and some dogs get nervous from quick or unexpectant movements. Fortunately, the wonderful staff and volunteers who care for Misty say she's becoming more comfortable with her new surroundings. 'There's no place like home' is every shelter dog's mantra, so please consider giving Misty a forever home. With a strong preference for people, she thrives as an only fur kid. Misty was surrendered because she reportedly had trouble living with two other dogs, and her cat compatibility is unknown at this time. Misty needs someone who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. Adoption is grand, but it will be another significant change in her life. Given the gift of a soft transition, this very sweet girl will reward you with love and companionship. Misty's ideal home is a calm, lower-key household of experienced dog owners.
