About Finnegan (Finn)

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Hello, I am looking to find the perfect forever home for my sweet and intelligent 1-year-old Cattle Dog mix, Finnegan (affectionately known as Finn). He is a handsome, very athletic boy weighing in at a sturdy 50 pounds, and he has all the wonderful traits of his breed-he is incredibly smart, alert, and deeply loyal to his people. However, due to his specific environmental needs, he requires a specialized household to truly thrive. Finn is full of personality and is an absolute blast for anyone who loves active, engaging dogs. Being highly athletic, he has a few favorite hobbies: he absolutely loves to play fetch, is an avid swimmer, and has a joyful passion for meticulously destroying soft toys. His ideal home is a quiet, low-traffic environment where his people are around most days and he has a yard to play in. He forms strong bonds and is happiest when he can be close to his family, so a household where someone works from home or is retired would be an absolute dream for him. Because he craves predictability and a calm atmosphere, he needs a home with fewer visitors coming and going. Please note that Finn is not okay with children and must go to an entirely adult-only home where there will not be interaction with kids. Additionally, he is somewhat leash reactive, meaning he can get frustrated or vocal when seeing other dogs or stimuli while on walks. He will need an experienced handler who understands herding breeds, is patient, and is willing to continue working on positive reinforcement training to help him manage his reactivity. If you live in a calm, child-free household, have experience with working breeds, and have the time, love, and energy to dedicate to a faithful companion like Finn, please send a message to discuss if he might be the perfect addition to your life.
