Marty is a 2 year old, 12 pound Chiweenie mix with a big personality packed into a little body. Honestly, he's a bit ornery in the most lovable way and isn't afraid to let you know when someone new has arrived. While he may bark at first, a tasty treat and a little patience are usually all it takes to start winning him over. Because of an unknown injury or trauma from his past, Marty has a slight wobble to his walk. It doesn't stop him from enjoying life, and it's simply become part of who he is. His balance and walk has improved greatly since he arrived and regardless, he navigates the world just fine, he just does it with a little extra character. Not shown in the photos, he currently does have a little scab on his face that is healing up well and in no time, it won't show at all. Marty is mostly potty trained, sleeps quietly in his crate at night, and is looking for a family that will continue helping him settle into a routine. Once he trusts you, his true personality shines. He's the definition of a Velcro dog and wants to be as close to his favorite person as physically possible. If you're sitting down, chances are Marty will already be in your lap. He gets along well with other small dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion, though he would also be happy soaking up all of your attention. His experience with cats is unknown, and because he can be cautious around new people, he would likely do best in a home without young children who can be unpredictable and loud. Marty is looking for someone who understands that trust takes a little time. In return, you'll gain a fiercely loyal little best friend who will happily spend every day by your side. If you're searching for a devoted companion with plenty of personality and an endless supply of love to give, Marty just might be your perfect match.
