This dog has been a stray in the area that I live in since before I moved in more than 4 years ago. He is well known as the 'broken tailed dog' or the 'gas station dog' around here (his tail has clearly seen some serious trauma), and until a few months ago you never saw him without his German Shepherd friend. No one has seen her in a while though, and of course we all know that they wouldn't have separated willingly. I hope that she has found a loving home whatever happened to her.. But this poor guy is all alone now. I saw him try to follow a couple of other strays around, but I guess it didn't work out. And then he finally he did make a new friend, he's been glued to her for a couple of weeks now.. but she's being adopted today and he will again be alone. :( I know he has made it this long as a stray, but he wasn't alone before and I think he may be an older dog. He definitely has vision issues and he can't see well at all, I'm worried for his safety if he continues to live as a stray. He's been staying in my yard / under the vacant house next door to me but I'm worried he won't stick around once he's alone again. He's a sweet boy, nervous, but very sweet. I've seen him get bullied by other dogs multiple times now and he just walks away :( I've got multiple fosters right now already, I'm hoping somebody who can give him the attention and love he deserves and needs to heal and be happy sees this, maybe somebody with a companion dog for him bc my fosters are either too hyper or dog aggressive to introduce him to. I had to select that he's in immediate danger but he's not in danger of being put down, he's in danger of being run over bc I saw him nearly get hit recently. I have NO clue what breed he is. Children compatability unknown.
