��ժ Meet Truett - A Survivor Who Deserves a Second Chance ��ժ When Truett came to us, it was clear that he had been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. He arrived severely emaciated, carrying the evidence of an old injury that had never been treated. His leg had been broken many months-possibly even years-before he found his way to us. It had healed in an abnormal position, held tightly up against his body. We can only imagine how long he lived with that injury and the pain that came with it. And yet, there were clues that Truett once belonged to someone. He came to us potty trained, leaving us to wonder about the life he had before and how he ultimately ended up having to fend for himself. For a long time, Truett was simply fighting to survive while living in pain. Thankfully, his story is changing. �%9D%A4��%8F Through an incredible collaboration with Butts Mutts, Truett was able to receive the care he so desperately needed. His injured leg has now been amputated, and he is slowly gaining weight, getting stronger, and-most importantly-finally starting to feel better. Truett is a middle-aged boy, estimated to be around 5-6 years old. He is good with other dogs, but because he is not recommended with cats, he would do best in a home without feline companions. Truett still has a road ahead of him. He needs a patient, loving home that understands he is recovering from years of neglect and pain and is willing to give him the time, care, and encouragement he needs to continue healing. He doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him. He needs someone willing to show him that life doesn't have to be about survival anymore. �ٴ���ժ Truett will be released to an approved adoptive home, or he is also available to an approved rescue organization that can continue supporting his recovery.
