About Zorro

Zorro loves being around people. He wants to share his affection and loves to play. Walks are always an adventure in smelling what has been around. He is full of energy but will slow down and snuggle on the coach. Playing ball is one of his favorite things when he is not distracted by anything moving. Right now Zorro does not get to spend much time outside due to my work schedule. His favorite toys are anything that squeaks and that he can chew on. He is a massive chewer and cannot have anything with material. Zorro would thrive in a home where he is receiving lots of attention and direction. When he is worked with he responds to commands very well. He understands what you want him to do and is just looking for a home where he can have someone work and play with him on a regular basis. I think he would really enjoy a playmate. He loves children but does better with older and taller ones that he doesn't think are playmates. He still has a lot of puppy behavior that needs to be worked with. Zorro has received a lot of training. He does well with basic commands in most cases. If he gets distracted it is like the training goes out the window. He is crate and house-trained. He does not like being alone when he is outside but understands that going into his 'room'/crate generally means it is nap/night time or I have to leave for work. He does well with this. Leash work is 50/50. He will work with you on the leash but is still pulling a great deal when he begins his walks. Once he is on the walk for a bit he will calm down and pull less. Zorro is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped. He is currently not fixed as the vet states they would prefer to wait until he is closer to 2. This is related to new findings that larger dogs need the testosterone longer for their joints. Per the breeder there is no history of hip issues. The only slight issue Zorro has is his food. He does not do well with sudden changes to his food. He takes a probiotic daily with his food and has been on the same brand since he was born. When I have tried to deviate from this or give him too many snacks he does get some loose stools.
