Meet Kya - Your Velvety-Soft Best Friend Is Waiting! Meet Kya, a gorgeous 2-year-old black Great Dane with a coat so unbelievably soft, she truly feels like velvet. Kya is currently being fostered outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and she is ready to find the family who will love her forever. This beautiful girl is fully house-trained, friendly, playful, and full of personality. She gets along wonderfully with the two other Great Danes in her foster home and has settled right into life with them. And then there are the cats. Kya is absolutely fascinated by them. She's curious, adorable, and seems convinced that surely they must want to play with a Great Dane. She is still learning about her feline friends, but her curiosity is certainly entertaining. Kya also loves squeaky toys and is always ready for a little fun. She has that wonderful combination of Great Dane sweetness and goofy playfulness that makes the breed so special. Kya would do well with children over the age of 5, or with dog-savvy children who understand how to interact appropriately with a giant breed. She doesn't always realize just how big she is and may accidentally knock younger children over in her excitement to play or say hello. She's beautiful. She's loving. She's fun.
