One fateful day last August, 3-month-old Huey and his brothers Dewey and Louie were dumped at a festival in El Morro, New Mexico. Lucky for them, they went home with a dog rescuer who took them in and raised them along with her other rescue dogs. Huey took some time to settle in, but he's become a very sweet young gentleman who is past due for the perfect home! Huey is very much that quiet, shy but sweet boy. He is uncertain of new things, but he's quick to learn and wants to be a good boy! He's gotten all the basic training, but needs someone patient to and confident to help him adjust to life outside of a small town. He would love to have a dog buddy to show him the ropes. He does not bother cats and has been friendly with new dogs. He walks well on leash, sits, and is working on 'come' but stays nearby if he is off leash. He would be a great hiking companion! He can take a little encouragement to load into the car but rides really well and loves sticking his head out the window. Huey is about 1 year, 3 months old and around 50 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He is located in Steamboat Springs but can be transported to other parts of Colorado. For more info, email [email protected] or text/call 720-235-6863
