These two precious Miniature Poodles were sadly surrendered after their mom died. ANGEL is 2.5 years old and weighs 10.6 lb. Her brother BUDDY is 4 years old and weighs 17.1 pounds. They are affectionate, funny little dogs with plenty of personality who love their people and each other. They are bonded and only adoptable as a pair. ANGEL and BUDDY are both very sweet and love being close to their people. BUDDY is the more vocal and playful of the two and has no problem letting you know exactly what he wants! If he wants attention, he will whine and make funny little noises until you pet him, especially if another dog is getting attention. He also loves to play and will ask his person to join in. Because he can be vocal, we don't think apartment living would be the best fit. ANGEL is a little quieter about asking for attention. She simply starts licking you until you get the message and pet her. BUDDY and ANGEL enjoy playing together, although BUDDY wants to play more often than ANGEL does. BUDDY is interested in playing with other dogs but isn't always confident enough to make the first move, so sometimes he will bark at them trying to get them to engage. ANGEL was a little more hesitant about playing at first but as she got to know her foster fur siblings she started playing with them, too. They would be fine in a home with other small friendly dogs or as the only two in the home. We do not know how they would be with kids or cats. ANGEL is a little protective of her space and toys sometimes (only with dogs, never with people) and will let another dog know if they get too close but the two share very well with each other. ANGEL will even steal BUDDY'S toys, and he doesn't seem to mind a bit. They especially love crinkle toys and will drink from the same water bowl at the same time. Both BUDDY and ANGEL are mostly potty trained but do need to be prompted to go outside. Occasionally BUDDY needs a little extra encouragement and may require a personal escort by being picked up and taken outside. Both are leash trained, but can be a little stubborn when called and would be happiest with a fenced yard and space to roam freely. BUDDY isn't the biggest fan about being brushed and enjoys barking at dogs he sees on TV. ANGEL isn't a fan of having her eyes cleaned and will head straight for her dog bed to hide if she sees the eye wipes coming out. At bedtime, both BUDDY and ANGEL sleep in the big bed next to their person and often curl up beside each other. They have their own dog beds as well, and BUDDY also loves crawling underneath the bed when he wants his own little hideaway. They are spayed and neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, have had ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shots, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
