About Spanky

Spanky is a 11year old (estimated) Yorkie mix boy who weighs 10.5 lbs. He is being fostered near Elizabethtown, KY. Spanky is a loving little companion whose favorite place is right beside his person. Whether he's curled up next to you on the couch, snuggled beside you in bed, or following you from room to room, Spanky is happiest when he's close to the one he loves. In fact, on a chilly night, this little guy doubles as a very effective personal heating blanket! Spanky gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and has been gentle with his foster family's young grandchildren. While he enjoys canine company, he prefers not to share his favorite person's attention and would truly thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and affection for himself. Spanky uses a doggy door and is making progress with his house-training, but he will need a patient adopter who can continue helping him learn that potty time belongs outside. He also requires daily eye lubricant to keep his eyes comfortable and prevent crusting.
