About Murphy

Murphy is a Golden Retriever Mix and estimated to be 2 - 3 years old and 73lbs. He was found as a stray, and his owners could not be located. We don't know much about him but we do know he is starving for love and will melt into your hands. Murphy is crate trained, neutered, heart-worm negative, micro-chipped, and had his vaccines needed to date. Murphy has a great deal of energy, and we are working with him to be aware of his size and people with him. He as noted above is starved for love and attention. Murphy loves human attention, treats and positive praise. We have discovered if we correct him with a strong tone or raise our arms for down/off command he retreats which makes us wonder if he has been harshly reprimanded in an earlier life. He keeps his kennel clean, rides well in a car and is a joyful boy. Murphy would thrive with a loving, active family, and a fenced in yard with a privacy fence would be best. In addition, he needs a strong leader and more training to make him the best version of himself. No children under the age of 13 due to energy level. He is good with other dogs, but we do not know about cats. His adoption fee is $375.
