Cherub is now available for adoption. Unfortunately he did not live up to his name. Although sweet and innocent, he became afraid at his neuter appointment, nipped his vet technician (causing her to need antibiotics), and now has a permanent record in Colbert County. We do not believe this will ever be an ongoing issue. He has done amazing here. He is very shy and frightened of new people and situations. For this very reason, we do not recommend him around children or even adults that might be developmentally delayed. Experience with chihuahuas is a must. Now onto his positive traits. He is dog/cat friendly, on the submissive side with pets, doing well with potty and leash training, crate trained, and up to date on immunizations/heartworm prevention. He is very loving and accepts affection once he trusts his human. Cherub lost his elderly caregiver and home. This sad little man just needed to decompress and heal his broken heart. We are doing our best to show him love and comfort. He is enjoying the company of our sweet resident pups while he awaits the perfect family. 7 yr old Chihuahua mix, 14 lbs Apply to Adopt: https://forms.gle/XULfWRjBrhKSEqHi6
