Johnny came into rescue because his family had too many dogs. They were moving and couldn't take the dogs with them. He has a 'chip' missing from his ear, which has become a nickname. He'll respond to either: Chip or Chip Chip or Johnny. We also sometimes call him Mr. Sweet Beans. Johnny is so sweet! He also loves to play - whether it's a ball, or a rope, or a squeaky, or a hard rubber toy he can chew. The best toys are a combination of the above: a tennis ball on a rope, a squeaky rubber toy, etc. He has calm moments too though where he'll just lay in his little bed or on a blanket or in a sunspot and chill or nap. He loves to give kisses and cuddle his people. He'll beg for food, but nothing that can't be manageably discouraged. He walks like a dream on a leash. Such a great family dog, or even a companion for an elderly person who wants a fun shadow! Johnny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
