About Ranger

This cute guy is Ranger, a 5 yrs old purebred mini Cattle Dog who weighs 25 pounds. He needs a new home because the new baby in the house isn't a fit for him. Ranger is fun and a total character. Click on the red YouRube button to see a video of all the fun he gets up to. Ranger knows a lot: sit, up, down, wait, watch me, leave it, drop it, touch, back, and has a strong recall. He also knows roll over, paw, and high five. He is house trained and loves his crate. Ranger is great with people he knows. He likes time (and treats!)to become warm up to new people. He tends to prefer women and would appreciate a home without young kids. Ranger lives with a quiet senior Cattle Dog and does play a bit. He is likely good with a polite dog as a housemate. He would also be fine living as an only dog. Ranger is good on leash and has good off leash recall. He is also great in the car. He grew up going to work with his person daily and is very comfortable with the commute. He is comfortable in an urban environment and is desensitized to elevators, stairs, loud sounds, fireworks, etc. He is even okay being blow dried on those days he gets a bath. He also loves to fetch! Ranger is the ultimate road dog; down to go anywhere and everywhere with you! He loves to run and play on the beach. As much as he loves to play he equally loves to nap on the couch or in his crate. He is polite at home when it's time to relax, too. He is equally such a good guard dog and will alert you when something seems off. Ranger is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is located in Los Angeles, CA, and is ready to meet adopters who can come here to adopt. We do not ship dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
