About Behr

For rehoming is Behr a 4 year old rottweiler male, $300 adoption fee, AKC registration is included. Behr is a good looking rottweiler from our breeding, a large dog standing 26�'۸ tall at the withers at a lean weight of 120lb. We're no longer breeding nor in a position to keep dogs. Behr was sold by us as an 8 week old puppy and recently returned. The former owners lost their house, had to move to a rental and couldn't find one that would accept a large dog. We want to make sure Behr goes to the right forever owner. Behr is not an aggressive dog, we define an aggressive dog as one who is overly reactive for no good reason. However Behr is a strong protection dog. He's alert and reacts aggressively to intrusions at his home. You and your property will be safe when he's around. That said he needs an experienced hand, this is not a dog to take to the dog park, or absent mindedly let interact with people in public. He's easy going with guests at the home , prefers the ladies, never bitten anyone but will warn with a growl if he feels someone is crossing his boundaries. Given space (if you're not overbearing with him) he's easy to live with, doesn't make any problems, no destructive chewing or peeing in the house. We keep him mostly outdoors but he has difficulty (as many rottweilers do) in the hot Florida summer. So during the hottest summer months we keep him inside. He's a medium to low activity level dog, for the most part lying around relaxed at home, and comes and seeks your attention to be pet. Behr gets along fine with females, and male dogs that don't challenge him. Not sure about other animals as we never had them around. If you do he can be taught to respect other animals under your care. Overall a solid healthy dog mentally and physically. Call or message us to arrange a meeting in Fort Lauderdale.
