I marked compatibility unknown because he does get along generally okay with my other cat, but for the past year or more, Sushi cannot be in the same room as his brother Cheeto without starting a huge fight with them rolling around in a ball yowling and hissing with fur flying everywhere. They had been bonded brothers for the last 8ish years, until one day he turned. And just recently after finding a new home for his brother Cheeto, Sushi seems to be turning on my other cat now, so I feel like he would probably do best being the only cat in the home. I cannot have a cat that is being mean to my other cat for no good reason, our home isn't big enough to keep them separated, it didnt work well with Cheeto & Sushi, Sushi would always go to where Cheeto was on a different level of the home just to pick a fight. The whole situation was very sad with nothing working to correct the issue. Aside from his random aggression towards other cats, he's a pretty chill cat, has some bad habits with scratching wooden objects (namely our stair railing) and has been caught mounting and humping our daughters legs overnight while they are asleep. He is good with the litterboxes, and is a good mouser. He and his brother came to us from another family years ago when we were looking for 'mousers' for a mouse problem. They were happy to offload their problematic cats onto us (the cats were breaking into enclosures for and killing the small pets of the children in their former family, so they needed to rehome). They came to us scared of adults, but happily being carried and dragged around the house by our 4 kids under 5yo. They have been my daughters best friends for years, mainly staying in the upstairs part of the house with my daughters room as their room as well. Our dog stays on the main floor, which is why they would stay upstairs by choice. Sushi is still not super fond of adults, but doesn't hide so much, just moves out of the way or goes to his own space away from us. He loves catnip, churus, and chasing lasers.
