About Watson

Watson is a calm, well behaved dog that wants to please his owners. He is a fast learner, who loves having a good leader and a schedule. He is house trained, highly treat motivated, & knows basic commands. He has never been one to run off & will come when called. We got him when he was 5 months old & he has been the best dog. Watson is healthy, neutered, microchipped, & up to date on all vaccinations. Watson is not very independent & can be anxious around new people & unpredictable situations. After a proper introduction, he typically loves all adults & will warm up to most new situations with support. He loves walks, hiking/ exploring, chasing squirrels, & follows his owners around the house, finding a sunny corner or cozy spot to curl up. We joke that he has FOMO (fear of missing out). Watson is a SINGER! If you start singing a song, typically, he will be joining in howling along. He is a very vocal dog. Not in terms of barking, more so howling along to the family singing 'Happy Birthday', talking (his little grunts & grumbles) to let us know what he wants. He gets along w/ dogs well, as long as they have good manners. He is the only pet in our household. Watson CAN NOT be in a home with young children. He would do ok with older children but the ONLY reason we are looking to rehome him is due to him biting our 3 year old, twice, in the last 6 months. He has never shown any aggression prior to biting my daughter. However, he has always been anxious around her & we believe he finds her very unpredictable. Happy to share more about these bites with interested adapters. He has been a WONDERFUL pet that we feel so lucky to have had in our lives. We just want him to be happy, healthy, and more comfortable than we have been able to provide in our home since having children.
