About George

Meet George a gorgeous red and white Australian Shepherd! He came to us in rough shape having had an infestation of ticks and his coat was in desperate need of a bath and grooming but after spending time with our groomer and foster friend, he is feeling much better and looking better too! His main profile photo is of him after his bath and brush - so handsome! This boy came from a shabby breeder who did nothing to protect the dogs, therefore resulting in several from this one situation having heartworm disease. Fortunately for George, he was rescued and started treatment right away to kill off the heartworm. He will need to be on a preventative for a while which is a monthly tablet to make sure he never has this disease again. George is a sweet and loving dog and hoping to find a family that can look past his not so great past and make him a treasured family member.
