About Dixie

Meet Dixie! She is a 2-1/2 year old full blood German Shepherd. Dixie is fully vetted and looking for her furever home. Here's what her foster family has to say about her. Dixie is very playful and loves her toys. She also loves chasing squirrels, deer and anything else that she sees in the yard. She is very affectionate and seeks lots of petting and belly rubs. Her favorite activity is playing with the golden retriever down the street. I think she would do well in a home with another large dog. She really wants to please, but is still learning impulse control. She has pretty good manners and will sit and lay down on command. She will sit and stay when I feed her until given permission to eat. She is sensitive to the heat, so she requires a lot of water. I believe that Dixie will be a great dog for someone with the time to teach her what is expected and the patience to let her grow up.
