Reese is safe and out of the shelter! This sweet senior Cocker Spaniel is 13 years old and weighs 26 pounds. Reese is partially deaf and blind in one eye, but she does not let that stop her from sharing her gentle spirit with everyone she meets. Reese was surrendered after her elderly owner needed to move into a care facility and could no longer keep her. She had been her owner's emotional support animal, and we can only imagine how confusing this sudden change has been for her. Reese is wonderfully sweet, loves people and other dogs, and spends much of her time peacefully sleeping. We are not sure we have even heard her bark. For now, she is enjoying a quiet, comfortable place where she can rest and decompress. A heartfelt thank you to her foster, Michele, for snatching Reese up this morning and welcoming her into her cool, peaceful home. We are also incredibly grateful to Holli at Smith County Animal Control for contacting us about this precious senior girl in need.
