This is my beautiful male Akbash. This is a purebred Turkish breed similar to the Kengal or Anatolian shepherd but more pure. This breed is not widely known which is why I chose anatolian shepherd in the listing. This is also why I named him Asil, Turkish for noble. He is a beautiful and healthy dog. Ideal specimen for the breed. Unfortunately, he was born and raised on a farm pasture and not socialized with humans. He is extremely gentle towards everyone and every creature. Even the smallest chick, he will be gentle around. He currently lives with our sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, bull, and other dogs. He is absolutely an ideal guardian livestock dog. We have not lost even a feather on our animals since we have had him. That is why it is so hard to let him go. However, we do not feel that he is living his best life here. He appears to be in a state of great fear any time my husband or nearly anyone approaches him. He is not aggressive but fearful if humans. Even my youngest little girl, he runs from. We have had him for several months in an effort to help him acclimate and get comfortable with us, but it seems to be futile. He would be best just set free on the pasture to look after all of the animals, but for us, we are unable to allow him full freedom. This is why we feel compelled to find him a new home where he can be free to do what he was bred for. He is perfectly healthy and up to date on all vaccines. He also has been microchipped. Please reach out if you can be patient and kind to this sweet boy.
