About Bruno

Meet Bruno! If you are looking for a dog who is full of personality, look no further than Bruno! This 8-year-old Brussels Griffon weighs in at 15 pounds, but his personality is MUCH bigger than his size. Bruno is one of those dogs who makes you laugh just by being himself. With his adorable Chewbacca-like face, soulful eyes that seem to bore right into you, and a slight underbite that gives you a peek at his bottom teeth, Bruno is undeniably cute. But its his goofy personality that will really steal your heart. When Bruno arrived at Fur Fun Rescue, he was in pretty rough shape. He had infections in both ears, matted hair, and a stinky mouth caused by some very bad teeth. Fast forward to today, and what a transformation! His ears are healthy, he has been groomed, and he had a dental cleaning that included having seven bad teeth removed. Now this handsome boy is feeling so much better and ready to find his forever family. Bruno absolutely loves people and bonds quickly with his humans. He doesn't particularly enjoy it when his people leave him home alone, but he does settle down and patiently wait for them to return. And when they come back? He is ready to resume being the center of attention! Bruno gets along great with other dogs. He has the attitude of a guy who isn't looking for trouble-he's perfectly happy to coexist with his canine friends. We don't know how he would do with cats, but we suspect he would probably just avoid them and go about his business. Now, about that personality... Bruno has a very specific way of letting you know when he thinks you're ignoring him. First comes the stare. He will look directly at you with those intense little eyes, waiting for you to acknowledge him. If that doesn't work quickly enough, you may soon experience the Paw Slap. And we're not talking about a gentle little tap. Bruno literally smacks you with his entire front leg! This boy absolutely refuses to be ignored. Thankfully, most of the time Bruno is perfectly content to nap right beside you. He loves sleeping in bed with his people, although he is completely happy to settle at the foot of the bed. And if you are willing to allow it, Bruno will happily reward you with one of his gentle little kisses. Bruno is housetrained, although he isn't very good at telling you when he needs to go outside. Because of that, his family should keep him on a regular schedule and make sure he gets outside regularly. Bruno is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
