About Cashew

Meet Cashew! This adorable, gentle and petite Black Mouth Cur mix is about 5.5 months old and weighs 22 pounds. Full grown she will be a medium sized girl - 40ish lbs. Cashew is great with people and is a huge cuddle bug. Once she settles in, she won't want to leave her trusted humans. She is the quintessential velcro pup. As she grows she will gain some independence but right now, Cashew wants to know her humans are there for her and will come back! She is wonderful with kids and has had exposure to little ones of all ages. Cashew also enjoys her dog friends and would happily live with another dog. Cashew is good on a leash and has her basic manners down pat. She is not destructive nor does she chew things she isn't supposed to. She is practicing her ability to be independent and left alone for a few hours at a time. Right now, she is successful relaxing in a gated off area while her people run out to do life things. She anticipates her humans' return but can rest easily for a couple of hours. Cashew is good in the car so she's always up to accompany you too. She will need some further direction on housebreaking in her transition to a forever home. Cashew is gentle, fun, and curious. She is ready to learn what her humans teach her and looking for an incredibly loving family. One more thing - she has the cutest little tail nub! She is located in CT for meet and greets.
