The municipal shelter if often FULL, which leads to some perfect doggies being euthanized for lack of space!!! Crapshoot which dogs are chosen. Napa arrived at the shelter on June 18th as an owner surrender, is 3 years old. As she was surrendered, puts her at greater risk of a tragic ending than if came in as a stray. She is very friendly with the volunteers, takes her treats gently, loves her treats, can be a bit on the jumpy side, but since loves her treats, can easily be trained, if effort put into it. She is getting the hang of sit on command. Has a good leash test with a female doggie at the shelter, also has participated in off-leash doggie play in pairs (good tolerance of having a doggie jumping on her when playing, per snippet of a video seen). PLEASE, email to come out to meet this perfectly wonderful, cute doggie!!! Can also be fostered through a rescue org., besides adopted from the shelter. If want to see other wonderful dogs, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, scroll down & click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come. Please.
