Jack is looking for his forever home. We couldn't find the owner and it's been over a month. What we know about him: he loves people and would enjoy a very active lifestyle! He loves running, hiking and lots of walks. He has lots of energy, is 27 pounds and we are guessing he is a heeler and terrier mix. He has been around many dogs and is great around all of them, friendly and polite. He is not house trained so we are looking for someone who is willing to work with him on building a routine and house training. The vet said he could be anywhere from 5-7 years old. He got a rabies and DA2PP vaccine, a microchip and a neuter on August 4th. He is scared of fireworks and thunder but we just turned the TV on and up and he settled down. He does not shake or pant, just cries and tries to run if he's outside. We crate him at night and when we are busy. In the day he does cry a bit but eventually settles down. He is such a sweetie and has a great smile, I know he would just love to cuddle and be someones best friend. He has been around kids and he loves them. He also loves chasing squirrels so guessing he is not great around cats. We want him to go to a home with a fenced yard and will require to see some pictures of the fenced yard just to insure he will be safe and not able to escape. Not sure where he came from, he has scarred elbows and a big chunk out of his ear so just assuming he's been through some things. He is very well mannered, one of the sweetest little dogs I've met. There is a rehoming fee of two hundred. If interested we can set up a time at Manito Park on the south hill for you to meet him.
